Norbert’s appearance in this series is from Season 2, in the episode entitled: “The Curse of the  Ninth.” Jennifer Love Hewitt stars as Melinda. Neil Hopkins appears in this episode as Brandon Roth. A rock star, Brandon Roth, who believes he has been cursed, is being terrorized by his father's ghost. Norbert plays the ghostly Patrick Roth, a classical composer who died about a year previously. Patrick was a professor and composer who died before his tenth work was completed. (Legend has it that many of the great composers died after completing nine symphonies.) What Brandon doesn't realize is that the ghost of a friend and fellow musician who died about the same time, is also haunting him and trying to keep his father's ghost from contacting him. Patrick appears to Melinda who helps him fight the other ghost that is draining his strength. When she first encounters Patrick, Melinda believes that he wants Brandon to complete his symphony. Patrick tells her that he wants him to understand that he is sorry for being so hard on him and not accepting his music and talent when he called it a waste of classical training. He makes sure that she also understand that it's not his tenth symphony he wants Brandon to complete, it's the unreleased tenth track on his son's CD that he wants to hear. With Melinda helping Patrick accept his son's rock music, he will be free to complete his journey to the other side in peace. Melinda searches for information on Patrick and finds his unfinished symphony. She borrows it so she can take it to Brandon to have him complete it. As soon as he starts to play, his father's ghost appears. Brandon shares a memory with Melinda where one day his father came into his room and told his Jared and another friend to leave since he didn't approve of them. Patrick tells him he is wasting his time with his guitar and that all of his hours of musical training have proven to be worthless. Tired of fighting the other ghost, Patrick's energy is nearly exhausted. Melinda deals with the other ghost so Patrick is free to communicate with Brandon. He tells him he is sorry and asks to hear him play his music. Melinda takes the ghost of Patrick to his son's concert to hear him play. Patrick realizes how wrong he was to criticize his son's talent and appreciates the gift he has. When he sees a light telling him it's time to cross over to the other side, he becomes so overwhelmed with emotion and wishes he doesn't have to leave so soon.
